Brightside Tots
Brightside Tots is a free, make-and-move play gathering for toddlers and the grown-ups who love them.
Each session includes open play, music, story time, simple hands-on activities, and plenty of time for little ones to explore their world. It’s relaxed, cheerful, and designed with real families in mind. No pressure. No expectations. Just a bright spot in your week.
Caregivers stay and participate alongside their child. Older siblings are welcome to attend and stay with their grown-up, though activities are geared toward our youngest friends.
You don’t have to attend Asbury or any church to come. Brightside Tots is simply our way of creating a warm, safe place where families can connect, children can play, and everyone leaves a little lighter than they arrived.

Made to Grow
This spring, our tots will explore how we grow! We'll sing songs, hear stories, and make crafts about plants, the rain, and growing up every day. Here's a sample schedule for our Wednesday group:
2:00–2:10 | Arrival & Free Play
Gentle open play as you arrive; helps toddlers transition and accommodates staggered arrivals.
2:10–2:25 | Music & Movement
Welcome song, action songs, and whole-body movement activities using simple props (scarves, shakers, bubbles).
2:25–2:35 | Interactive Story Time
Short, engaging story using visuals, repetition, or simple participation.
2:35–2:55 | Activity Stations
2–3 rotating stations such as:

Process-based crafts

Sensory play

Simple games

Gross-motor activities (tunnels, balance, throwing)
You participate alongside your toddlers.
2:55–3:00 | Closing Ritual
Consistent closing song and brief send off.
3:00–3:15 | Optional Stay & Play
Unstructured time for continued play and caregiver connection.
